Transcript from the show:
G’day Everyone, Matt Elder here and in this video we are going to do a full tour of LEGOLAND Dubai in under 3 minutes. Links may pop up for more detailed information on attractions.
We start coming in the main entry. On the screen you can see the names of different attractions pop up as we go past them.
Miniland
The first area we go into is Miniland. This can be used as a base as the main 4 areas of the park can be accessed from here. Miniland has refreshing air conditioning … apart from when they lock the doors open and decided to air condition the outside, something I’ve never quite understood.
General Information
LEGOLAND Dubai is outdoors with many indoor areas that generally have air conditioning. The heat can be brutal in summer being 45 degrees Celsius or more, or over 110 Fahrenheit. Even in cooler months it will still be around 35 degrees or 95 Fahrenheit.
LEGOLAND Dubai is not huge as this walk through in real time took about 30 minutes (and that is with stretching out the Miniland section). LEGOLAND Windsor UK will take about 20 minutes just to walk across the park (see that time-lapse walkthrough video in the link above). There is a separate LEGOLAND Dubai Water park adjoining this one.
Height Restrictions
The park is ultra-strict on height restrictions – every kid will get measured on every ride so kids in the 3-5 years age range may be limited with what they can go on. Grab a little builders guide to see what the options are.
Q Fast
As it is hot and visitor numbers are soft, queues are quite short. Thus, you won’t really need a Q Fast queue-jumping pass. See our Q Fast video for further details below
That was the adjoining entrance to the Water Park but we never did figure it out.
Miniland Again
Back into the main Miniland area. One good tip is to ask about the Miniland light show. It isn’t advertised at all and we actually stumbled upon it. When the park closes at 6pm, it usually runs at 5:40pm. They turn off all the main lights, then sync lights in the Miniland buildings to music – its actually really good. See our video of it linked above.
We’ve seen many reviews that state you can’t bring outside food or drink into the park. We never had a problem with this but don’t be surprised.
LEGO FACTORY Tour
Coming up is the LEGO Factory tour where you can see how LEGO bricks are made, and we have a full video on this here.
We recommend doing this tour between 1pm and 2:30pm. Outside these times the machines are turned off and not running. If nothing else, you get a free LEGO Factory Dubai 2x4x3 custom brick, which is always a hit.
This is touted as the largest LEGO store in the Middle East. Items on sale were quite competitive, those not on sale, really expensive.
And that is the completed time-lapse walk through.
Sneak Peak
As a bonus sneak peak, here is the Miniland light show we referred to earlier. Link in the video above.
And with that this video draws to a close. Here are some other videos that might be of interest. Please hit the thumbs up button if you enjoyed this as it really helps the channel create more videos like this. Sharing or subscribing are always appreciated as well.
Happy building until next time when we talk about all things LEGO.
