Words From the Other Side of Reality
Like most other people, I’ve been drawin’ since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I just never really happened to stop until the later years of high school with the classic parents saying that art was a waste of time. Thus I stopped drawing and got into the University of New South Wales where I studied Civil Engineering, Law and a Masters of Commerce.
In the later years of university, I became bored and frustrated with my studies and turned back to creative pursuits. I was drawing again and working in print and web media. During this time I had some of my work recognised in Design Graphics (#66 in 2001, page 69 and #78 in 2002, page 24).
Upon graduation, I worked for an internet company before moving into a freelance capacity. This gives me greater flexibility and more interesting opportunities. Currently while still freelancing, I am improving my traditional art skills with courses from Julian Ashton Art School, the National Art School and Grosvenor Studios (all found in Sydney, Australia). For more information about these art schools, see the FAQ.
